    1. change marking column names (QTR 4 Avg./ QTR 4 Grade posted/ QTR 4 Posted Grade). It is too hard to know which grade shows up in EE.

      It used to say QTR 4 Avg./ QTR 4 Grade / QTR 4 Posted Grade using the word posted on two columns makes it very confusing.

      • Be able to choose a color for the category

        Right now you can only see the name but cannot quickly identify its category. Is it a homework? A quiz? A test?

        • Allow teachers to view but not change/edit assignment grades & final grade on-screen when posting status = posted.

          I think the above says it. We tell instructors that, once a class is posted, the screen will let them make changes to grades but those changes won't be reflected in the system. I'm not sure all our instcutors will remember that every time they think about making a grade change.

            Allow to check Yes for ALL schools when entering announcements as an administrator of FAWeb. Otherwise it is a very tedious task.

            • make the blocks change colors when comments are added to the attendance screen.

              • Have each entered grade saved automatically as you exit the cell similar to seating chart.

                Teachers are frequently complaining that they will be entering grades into a column and then experience a connection problem of some sort and suddently get kicked out of FAWeb only to lose all their data and have to re-enter it again. It would be nice if each entered grades could be submitted to the server upon exit a cell/field so that data is saved along the way, similar to how data is saved with seating charts.

                • Enable the skills checklists to be copied/duplicated .

                  Most students' skills in the checklist don't change, and there is currently no way to copy/duplicate those marks. If we could copy each term's marks, we would only have to edit those checks that have changed each term/quarter/grading period.

                  • Generate and automatic email to teachers when they haven't taken attendance.

                    We would like an email to be automatically sent to teachers who haven't taken attendance.

                    • To have EE balance classes evenly amoung terms when scheduling.

                      This again is an EE suggestion. When scheduling students it would be nice if the system would balance those classes across the whole year and not just load up the first term or semester. We are a school with a rotating block schedule and has four terms. We would like for the scheduler to be able to balance across ALL four terms and not just load the majority of the classes/courses in terms 1 and 2.

                      • The ability to copy scheduling year by department. (This is an EE suggestion)

                        In EE you have the ability to copy scheduling year and you can break it down by faculty, meetings or rooms. We would like to see it by department because there are some classes that remain the same year after year.

                        • Combine Grades

                          I used to use Making-the-Grade program, and it has an option for combining grades. Although I hardly need that option now teaching in High School, I think it would come handy when I need to combine 2 assignments or more together and the program calculate an average as a new score. It was very useful when I was giving out assignments where not all students turn in the assignment, but it would harm them if I enter zero or not fair for students who turn in all assignments.

                          • Allow tables (e.g., Edit assignment window) to have column width adjusted, to auto adjust widths, and to move the columns

                            1. Allow column widths to be adjusted, and to Auto adjust column widths.
                            2. Allow columns to be moved into a preferred order
                            The details...
                            Currently, screen space is being wasted. For example, if a category is Homework, 10-12 characters are empty space. Or, for example, if the scaling factor is 1, 5 characters are empty space.

                            As a professional developer myself, I would like to see a more concise approach to screen space, in this day of iPAD and iPHONE access to websites.

                              • Move 'Save" and 'Copy' buttons from FAR Right of screen to a more central location

                                If these buttons, SAVE and COPY, were more central (like in the prior version of FA Web), instead of located far to the right, less time would be wasted moving the mouse to click on save or copy!!

                                • allow the use of "periods" in user ID's for faculty access for the web

                                  we want to standardize our user ID's and most systems now ask you to use your email address. Ours are firstname.lastname The odd thing is that student ID's for login to the student portal allow this naming convention but faculty/staff ID's do not allow a period in the name.

                                    • Add email notifications service for parents with customizable options for when new grades have been entered, assignments missing, etc.

                                      Have a bunch of checkboxes under the Options menu that parents/students can select what things they want to be notified for - via email (or text messages?).

                                      when grades are entered or updated
                                      when there are missing assignments
                                      when grade average is below a certain percentage

                                      • Drop Box make the ungraded view look at the student instead of the entire class.

                                        The program currently looks at the class level instead of the student in the ungraded view of drop box. There is no way the teacher can see from this view how many more papers need to be graded once one paper is graded. This would allow the teacher a better view of what has been done and what still needs to be done.

                                        • Create an impoprt feature to upload or sync grades when internet connection is available which allows for input when not connected

                                          An offline option for inputting grades when internet access is not available that can later sync (be imported) to the online version. Currently there is the export option to excel but no import option.
